Muri Gries Pinot Bianco Terlano Alto Adige DOC 2022 – Country: Italy – Capacity: 0.75 Muri Gries The most classic of classics. Pinot Blanc is one of South Tyrol’s typical varieties that encapsulates the region’s diverse terroirs. A perfect wine to enjoy every day, it is one of those bottles you always go on the safe side with. Impossible for anyone to say they don’t like it. This version offered by the Muri-Gries winery, in particular, comes from grapes harvested in sunny vineyards in the municipality of Eppan. We are between 420 and 500 meters above sea level. Here the vines, which reach 30 years of age, find ideal conditions to give birth to high-quality fruit, gravel-rich soils and good exposures. Vinification super simple, at the end of fermentation the wine is divided into two parts. About 80% continues its journey in steel, the remaining part instead takes the route to the large, 30-hectoliter barrel, where it stays for about 5 months. Brilliant straw yellow with greenish reflections, the nose surprises with an intense and multifaceted aroma of ripe apples, an exotic touch of citrus, a slight hint of hazelnut and spicy notes of white pepper. In the mouth it is full and robust, elegant and full of character, creamy, savory and mineral. A harmonious and inviting wine with a lingering, juicy and fresh finish. Serve chilled with cheese dumplings, seafood and grilled trout.
